Introduction

Canadian University Association was formed in 1961 by a dedicated group of returned Canadian Universities graduates and has now grown to a 1,000 members strong alumni organization. The current President is Mr. Jack Ng, a Simon Fraser Unversity graduate, and our Chairman of the Board of Governors Dr. William Yip was amongst one of active founding members.

In 1979, the Canadian University Association was incorporated as a non-profit limited company by guarantee and was also granted exemption from payment of profit tax. The formal title is known as Canadian University Association (Hong Kong) Limited.

The objective of the Association is to provide a linkage for over two hundred thousand Canadian universities returned graduates in Hong Kong and to act as a platform for the different Canadian universities alumni organizations to unite their efforts in fostering friendships as well as contributing to our society.  Every year, the Association organizes a number of activities including seminars and talks on Canadian education and immigration issues and fund a number of scholarships for PRC and Hong Kong students to further their studies in Canada. The Association is an active member of the Canadian Community in Hong Kong and is well perceived and recognized by the Consulate General of Canada as well as the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.
