Canadian University Association (CUA) was formed in 1961 by a dedicated group of returned Canadian Universities graduates. In 1979, CUA was incorporated as a non-profit limited company by guarantee and was also granted exemption from payment of profit tax. The formal title is known as Canadian University Association (Hong Kong) Limited.

The objective of the Association is to provide a linkage for over two hundred thousand Canadian universities returned graduates in Hong Kong and to act as a platform for the different Canadian universities alumni organizations to unite their efforts in fostering friendships as well as contributing to our society.  Every year, the Association organizes a number of activities including seminars and talks on Canadian education and immigration issues and fund a number of scholarships for PRC and Hong Kong students to further their studies in Canada. The Association is an active member of the Canadian Community in Hong Kong and is well perceived and recognized by the Consulate General of Canada as well as the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.
